Twilight Sentinels

We stand tall as pillars and sturdy as mountains
casting no shadows within the darkness.
Here along the perimeter  we gaze upon the purple and grey,
for we are the keepers of daybreak and dusk.
We are the twilight sentinels, with shadows stretching absolute
the sun becomes a spectrum of brilliant radiance
in the dawn and dusk skies.
